NantGames’ iOS and Android Geolocation Role-Playing Game (GRPG) Adds Several New Features

Today Mythwalker™ expands the closed beta of its anticipated geolocation role-playing game (GRPG) for mobile devices, adding several new features to the experience. In the MythWalker regional beta, which was previously only available in Australia, adventurers meet the mysterious guide known as The Child who seeks Earth’s help to save her world Mytherra. Players take on quests as one of three playable classes – Warriors, Spellslingers and Priests. From the home hub of Hyport, players engage in various activities to help them on their quests. Out in the world, they can find minigames that yield valuable materials for crafting. Navigators and the Tap-to-Move feature allows players to interact with points of interest and engage in combat without physically moving. These are the first of many accessibility features currently being developed.
Today’s regional beta expansion includes major additions to the existing MythWalker game, most notably:
A tutorial for first-time players
Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese language Localization
Expanded character customization options including new hairstyles for human Heroes, player abilities, and new Annu and Wulven breeds
Encounters with Hobgoblins - a powerful but chaotic family of magic wielders. There are currently five varieties of Hobgoblins, each with their own attack style, including Hob Pranksters armed with glitter bombs. When defeated, Hobgoblins potentially drop valuable armor, wands, and staffs as rewards.
Rare craftable armor, helmets, weapons, and upgrades, including two new armor, helmet, and weapon types for each Hero class.

Today’s expansion makes MythWalker available to most countries in Latin and South America, excluding Brazil and Mexico. The full list of supported countries can be found here. Beta player feedback will help improve the game and be considered as NantGames adds new classes, enemies, player abilities and more in the future.
MythWalker is a geolocation fantasy role-playing game for iOS and Android devices. Players can take part in exploring combat, magic, crafting, resource minigames and more. They can venture out in the real world to interact with the game, or continue their adventures from the comforts of home with Navigators and the Tap-to-Move mode. MythWalker takes players to Mytherra, a fantastic parallel world to Earth, where they are recruited by a powerful being, known only as The Child, to investigate attacks on her world. She guides players on mystical quests and adventures to uncover the truth about the attackers, explores the connection and shared histories between Earth and Mytherra, and leads the heroes in defending their home.
